Special Events
Become One is a married couples ministry at FBC, designed for couples of all ages. The primary goal of Become One is to host Special Events through-out the year to give couples the tools they need to grow together in their marriage through God. Many times we allow outside influences to come in and interrupt the awesome plan God has for our marriage. Become One will take you through scriptures and show you what God has to say about marriage through fun filled marriage building events.
Sunday School
Meeting time: 9:30 - 10:45 in “Common Grounds” Cafe, next to the nursery.
Our time will focus on Bible studies tying into various marriage topics. Currently we are discussing the purpose of marriage in light of God’s plan for our lives: Is marriage meant to make us happy or holy?
We seek to: discover sound biblical principles for our marriage relationships that include how we respond to our spouse, how we handle conflicts inside and outside our marriage, what God desires for us to do in order to bring him glory in our marriage, and how does marriage draw us closer to God, as well as other subjects.
We seek to accomplish this by: Studying passages of the Bible, gathering insights from marriage related authors, and by open, honest sharing of our various circumstances and past experiences from young and old alike ~ “iron sharpening iron.”
One thing is certain, whether you are a “marriage veteran” or newlywed you can still learn by those around you as we all seek to glorify God in our marriage endeavor/relationship. This is why we would like to emphasize the intertwining of age groups.
