Coat Collection a Success

Coat Collection a Success

Well over 400 coats were collected from the FBC congregation...

Well over 400 coats were collected from the FBC congregation on Thursday, October 21st and distributed to the Atlantic City Rescue Mission and My Father’s Hands, an organization serving the needy in Camden.

The idea came from the Seniors group, who had never done a coat drive before but felt the burden to try one.  After contacting local organizations to determine whether there was a need, the seniors put out the word to the church and coats came piling in.  God certainly was at work.  When Nick and Sandy Rementov dropped off coats to the Atlantic City team, the workers were so grateful because they had just ran out of their coat supply and had begun turning people away.

Praise God for the generosity of those who gave, those who organized the giving, and those who are distributing the coats to those in need.  May He open the hearts of those who receive these gifts so that they may see God as Provider and worthy of their devotion.
