Hello faithful blog followers! Hope you have been able to dig yourselves out of all this snow...

Hello faithful blog followers!  Hope you have been able to dig yourselves out of all this snow.  It sure has been a crazy few weeks.  Annoying as it may be, snow has a way about it.  It’s pure, it brings quiet, and it makes people rest….unless you have a plow.  I hear it is anything but rest!  My prayer is that many would be able to slow down, rest, and listen.

The God that brings a great snowstorm.

I think back to the Old Testament story with Elijah.  Elijah was blessed with God’s presence!  A great powerful wind tore the mountains apart, a great earthquake came, and a fire all captivated Elijah’s attention.

But the Lord wasn’t in any of them.

He came as a gentle whisper to Elijah.  God certainly brought a lot of snow and was instrumental in putting the breaks on our part of the country, but how did God make himself know to you these past few weeks?  Was it in a mighty snowstorm, or a still gentle reassurance of his faithful love?

We canceled youth group.

It has been a while since we had to cancel youth group, and we were really sad to do it, but youth groups are scheduled for this Friday regular time! Juniors- SMALL GROUP NIGHT!  Spend time together with your small groups and get to know others in your group a little better. Junior High- Soccer (inside or outside in the snow……??).  Come and find out…but be ready for both! Senior High- Have a great time on the Winter Weekend!

If you are a parent, student, or someone who doesn’t know why they are reading this blog, would you stop and take a minute to pray.  This weekend as always, God will bring many kids to youth group needing to be loved, mentored, and taught about the love of Jesus.  Pray for all three groups as we seek to uniquely bring a group of kids to know, love, and worship our Heavenly Father.

Because we all need Jesus.
