Tribute to Andy Wallin

Share your words of Appreciation and Love

"As most of you know, Andy has had to step down from his God-blessed role as Associate Pastor due to the early stages of Alzheimers. This page is an opportunity for you to share words of appreciation and love for Andy in his years of service at FCC.  We expect Andy to continue to be a part of our church family for many wonderful years to come! But, this is a way to specifically express gratitude as he has transitioned off staff into a new stage of involvement in our church body."

Andy was born and raised in South Jersey.  He gave his heart to the Lord as a young teen and early in his relationship with the Lord, felt the call to ministry.  While attending Cairn University (formerly Philadelphia College of Bible), he met Phyllis, and they married in his senior year.

Andy and Phyllis together traveled to Portland, Oregon, where Andy attended Western Seminary for 4 years.  After seminary, Andy and Phyllis moved back to NJ to wait for God’s direction as to their next step.  A contact made while in seminary called to ask Andy to join him in ministry as Associate Pastor in Richland, Washington.  So the family moved across country to join the staff of Bethel Church.  During their six years in Washington, Andy served as Associate Pastor, interim and Senior Pastor.

In 1986, God led Andy and Phyllis back to NJ.  Andy worked at various jobs:  carpenter, supervisor, facilities manager - gaining skill and experience that ultimately benefited in his work at Fellowship.  Andy and Phyllis began attending Fellowship in January, 1987 and became involved in the ministry here.  It was a joy to be part of this ministry and watch God grow it as the community grew.

Pastor Mark and the congregation extended the call to Andy to join the staff in July, 1998 as director of worship, the Sunday school ministry and overseeing the facilities and administration.

Andy & Phyllis have 3 daughters, 3 sons-in-law and 10 grandchildren.
