Community Groups

FBC has a vision to be a Redemptive Community influencing people in Southern New Jersey to pursue a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  We hope to be redemptively influencing life change within our individual neighborhoods and towns.  To do so,  we need smaller communities of believers to do life together in small groups, serving their neighbors and being salt and light in their neighborhoods.  Our passion is to be a “Community of Communities”. A Community group is a small gathering of people who are seeking to do life together and grow in Christ together. Community groups are typically made up of 10-14 adults. The groups focus on four things:

    Around the Table
  • Building relationship with one another. This is a “community”.  It is a place to feel safe, to be able to share honestly and openly, a place where people know your “story”.
  • Life application of the Word of God.
  • Worship and prayer. We pray for each other, and seek God with each other.
  • Serve one another and serve our “neighbors”.  As people bind together, there is a natural sharing of service to one another in practical needs.  All of our groups are encouraged also to find practical ways to serve others in need in our neighborhoods (whether it be inner city or locally)

God never intended for the Christian life to be a solo flight.  We are designed to live and grow in community.  Our vision at FBC is to be a “Community of communities”, one body meeting in many small groups.  We strongly encourage your participation in a Community (made up of 10-15 adults).  It is here that we experience the “ONE ANOTHERS” of the New Testament (“pray for one another, encourage one another, exhort one another, welcome one another”, etc.)
